This Adventure Series Mug, EXPLORERS, is the second in a set of four durable hiking & camping mugs, that depict Sacajawea and/or the men of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
When the soldiers sailed up the Missouri River and arrived at the Hidatsa Village, Sacajawea, a 16 year old kidnapped girl, saw a way home to her Shoshoni People. For, when she learned these men were heading west over the Great Divide - she knew they would need Shoshoni horses to traverse the mountains. She knew the way to her village and she knew she could get the horses for the explorers.
The concept artwork is from the film production of Sacajawea, The Windcatcher, and was created by noted artist, Marcia K. Moore.
